The onomatopoeic term Kon Kon has traditionally referred to the sounds of a steady rain or snowfall in Japan. It is also used to denote the cry of a fox, or knocking on a door.
The various Kon, both instrumental and vocal, produced by the three players are colourful in rhythm and tone, and combine to produce a delightful melody. In Japan, it’s believed that music is often a result of playful experiments with such day-today words and sounds found in nature.
