Saturday, March 14 Nagata Shachu proudly presents: An Evening of Japanese Dance and Music featuring Chieko Kojima, a principal dancer and founding member of the internationally renowned Japanese drumming ensemble Kodo, and ten ten ensemble led by Aki Takahashi (shamisen/vocals), Kiyoshi Nagata (taiko), Heidi Chan (bamboo flute) and other guests. June 28 to July 12 Nagata Shachu is honoured to be returning to Arts in the Parks, an initiative of the Toronto Arts Foundation, presenting afternoons and evenings of free taiko workshops and performances. Locations are: Rustic Park (Etobicoke), Neilson Park (Etobicoke), Amos Waites Park (Etobicoke), Guild Park and Gardens (Scarborough), Parma Park (East York), Walter Saunders Park (Scarborough).
