Andrew Siu first found an interest in music by learning piano at age eight and has gone on to play drums and percussion throughout his years of schooling. While completing a Bachelor of Music at the University of Toronto, Andrew was introduced to taiko through Kiyoshi Nagata and the taiko drumming course he offered at the school. He was quickly enthralled by the music and is excited to continue pursuing taiko with Nagata Shachu. Currently, Andrew is an active performer and music educator having experiences collaborating with choirs, theatre companies, orchestras, and wind bands across the GTA.
