Naoya Kobayashi played music, specifically drumming, consistently throughout his student life. He has performed under various settings as a member of many rock bands and pit bands for musicals. While staying an active musician, his academic background is in physics and he holds a Master of Science in Astrophysics from University of Toronto. He was introduced to taiko in 2014 and was immediately drawn to it.
