Mt. Hida is a beautiful, tall, rocky mountain especially scenic in
autumn. During the annual harvest festival, taiko is always a main
attraction. The intoxicating rhythms of the taiko are enough to cause
even the most reluctant of audience members to get up and move with
the music. The rhythms of various instruments are overlaid one upon
the other, building up to a compelling crescendo reminiscent of the
grandeur of Mt. Hida (Hida-san).
